    WE’RE FUND-RAISING, & HERE’S WHY:
We are asking you as an engaged and arts-minded individual to invest in the growth of Church of the Friendly Ghost as a community organization.  We want to provide more than we do now, and we want your experiences—and those of the artists we present—to be more memorable.  Your material support can shape and enrich the culture in Austin—right here, right now.

COTFG is stronger than ever, and ready for a new phase of growth. We currently present about 50 concerts a year and had more than 2,500 audience members during just the last 12 months!  We have featured local, national, and international musical artists since 2003, and every single one of the approximately 300 performances we’ve presented has been managed, directed, promoted, and staffed by the capable, enthusiastic, and resourceful community of volunteers who cared enough to contribute their valuable time. We also have project support from the City of Austin and a permanent facility for the performance series.

As you know, it is our policy to set ticket prices low enough so that anyone interested in our programs can attend. Your contribution will enable this policy to continue. We can also become a venue that offers competitive fees to a variety of musical artists while providing sound quality commensurate with any of Austin’s great venues. We can do all this without basing our operations on selling liquor to a non-listening audience or exploiting musicians. Picture yourself helping this happen!

The general fund that is established as a result of this fund-raising drive will support all of our operations. New sound equipment and airline tickets for national and international artists will definitely be a top priority. We think the arts community in Austin wants and needs Church of the Friendly Ghost to grow. Please be a part of this community effort. We pledge to continue to present you with a high quality, cutting-edge performance schedule of engaging programs for years to come.

Help us change the landscape of the music scene in Austin for the better! Invest in the future of creative music! We are asking you to contribute $25, or more, if you can afford it, to make this dream come true. You can assure that more great programs—hundreds more—will be presented for you and others in the capital city.  Please be aware that a gift of any size—no matter how large or small—will help.

At the fund-raising event you’ll be able to contribute with cash, a check, or credit/debit card. Your donation is fully tax-detectable and we’ll provide a 501c3 letter on request. If you’d like to donate before the event, return an email to this address: churchofthefriendlyghost@gmail.com or call 512 786 2015

Remember that significant financial support in the form of many small, individual contributions will send an important message throughout the Austin and the arts community. That’s the kind of inspiration that will help keep our unique culture vibrant and flourishing even through difficult times.

Thank you so much for all of your support through the years, and we look forward to seeing you at the Tent Revival!

    Aaron Mace
